Clinch River Shelties are responsible breeders and located in the small town of Tazewell, in Southwest Virginia. Here at the Clinch we have the puppies best interest at heart from conception, birth, and adopting them to very loving families to pickup where we end their beautiful life story with us.

First and foremost our shelties are our loyal companions and friends. Here at the home of Clinch River Shelties we strive to improve the breed by producing healthy intelligent dogs with sound conformation.

Puppies / Dogs are place on Limited Registration, pet homes only. They are eligible for AKC / UKC show dogs in specific categories for example "Agility". Your furry friend will comes with a AKC Champion / Grand-Champion Pedigree, You will be able to view their family lineage and bloodline, All parents are genetically health tested and matched with the genetic testing for the best possible breeding results.

Testing includes CEA, DM, MDR1, PRA, PRA CNGA and Von Willebrand with clear results and DMS. Genetic testing results determine the Sire / Dam match for breeding to get the best possible puppy results. We breed selectively to produce quality puppies and keep within the AKC standards of this beautiful breed.

All our puppies comes with age appropriate vaccinations & deworming,  veterinary health examination, dew claws removed on most, crate trained with potty training in progress.

 When we have available puppies, we strive to match puppies to the appropriate families as well. All puppies remain in my home until 8 weeks of age or until they are adopted out. They are well socialized with adults, grandchildren, and dogs while being spoiled and getting special care.

After getting their first vaccination and a physical examination by a board certified  veterinarian, you can come and meet your puppy. We are glad to send pictures and videos to the chosen families until such time It's a requirement we've chosen to adopt  to protect our puppies from illness and disease as much as we possibly can.

The sheltie breed is extremely intelligent! They will grow out to be standard Sheltie’s in size according to the Shetland Sheepdog growth chart between 13" - 16". 

Crate trained and the following in progress outdoor potty, leash and  command training.

These furry friends pawprints and kisses would be the roadway to your heart. They are intelligent, loyal, and gentle with high energy they love to play and will cuddle with you at the end of the day.
